Letters / Notes from "Scouts of the past"
Though I only received one so far, you never know it might just catch on (edited)
March 2008 Dave Reilly wrote - Very nice site. I grew up in Point Beach and was a member of troop 6 from 1970 until 1977, when I left for college. I've been gone from the shore for a while and glad to see the old Troop is still around. I was in the troop along with my two brothers, and my dad was assistant scoutmaster for a while. We met in the Presbyterian Church on Wednesday nights even then. We had some fantastic times, cycling and hiking trips, camping on Treasure Island, various Pine Barren trips, Gettysburg, Brookville "The Pine Fly Capital of the World," and an urban adventure hiking the Boston Freedom Trail. I earned my Eagle Badge in 1976. A lot of great memories! Keep up the good work! |
